Climate Policy Radar at COP31

Climate Policy Radar at COP31

Aerial view of the Mediterranean coast near Antalya, Türkiye, where a steep, rocky mountain covered in pine forest drops down to a curved pebble beach and deep blue sea, with a small village and farmland along the shore. Overlaid in white are the Climate Policy Radar logo and the COP31 Türkiye Antalya logo.

At COP31, attention turns to delivery. Most countries have now submitted new national climate plans, and whether they work will depend on what happens next in sector laws, budgets, and city and regional decisions, alongside commitments on nature and land.

Keeping track of that is difficult. The relevant documents are spread across different ministries and levels of government, in different languages and formats. The people who need them most – negotiators, policymakers, and those supporting them – have the least time to piece them together.

Climate Policy Radar will be in Antalya to share tools that make climate and nature policy easier to search and compare. We’ll be launching a new resource that brings subnational climate policy into view, and joining discussions on how open, trusted data can support negotiations and implementation. Just as importantly, the team will be there to listen: to understand the questions governments, implementing agencies, researchers, and others are trying to answer, and how we can support their work.
